		<p>Recently, we have been exploring the artistic movement of Fouvism, also called Fauvism, that flourished at the beginning of the 20th century and revolutionized the way we conceive color and expression in art, being more expressive and realistic by playing with chromatic tones. &quot;Les fauves&quot; (wild beasts in English) Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gauguin, who originated this movement, and Henri Matisse and André Derain, challenged established conventions and dared to use intense and unnatural colors to convey emotions and vivid sensations. During an exhibition in Paris the art critic Louis Vauxcelles gave the title &quot;fauves&quot; to this trend. That is why the person who represents the aggressiveness that this style of work prints is called a Fauvist.<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B1">1</xref>,<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B2">2</xref></p>
		<p>This boldness and freedom in the color palette has left us amazed and has awakened our curiosity about how we could apply this unconventional approach in other fields, such as medicine, especially taking advantage of the tools in the acquisition of echocardiographic images. Today, the application of color options and filters and the harmonious use of color in different modes such as the M mode and 2D among others, has highlighted our studies in daily work.</p>
		<p>At this point, we would like to point out an intriguing connection between Fauvism and cardiac imaging through different invasive and non-invasive diagnostic methods. For example, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) and computed tomography (CT) provide us with detailed images of the heart and blood vessels, but they are often presented in shades of gray, white, or black,<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B3">3</xref> which can limit our emotional understanding of cardiac physiology. As for the connection to medicine, we would like to mention a study that explored the application of Fauvist color theory in the interpretation of medical images, specifically cardiac images. In the publication &quot;The ‘Wild Beasts’: Fauvism and Its Affinities,&quot; published by The Museum of Modern Art, the author invites us to consider the possibility that incorporating Fauvist principles into medical practice, particularly in the interpretation of cardiac images, could transform the way doctors and patients interact with the human heart.<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B1">1</xref></p>
		<p>Instead of simply viewing the heart as an anatomical organ, we could capture the vitality and dynamism of its functioning using bold and expressive colors. Warm tones could represent healthy heart activity, while cool tones could indicate areas of concern or disease. This approach could not only improve the understanding of healthcare professionals but also help patients better visualize and understand their cardiovascular health.</p>
		<p>In short, Fauvism offers an exciting and unconventional approach that has the potential to transform our perception not only of art but also of other fields, such as medicine. We hope our suggestion can inspire further discussion and exploration on how to integrate artistic creativity into medical practice. We would like to share several of my creations (images of my authorship and editing) with you to demonstrate how beautiful this work can be.</p>

			<title>Limitations</title>
			<p>The article offers an intriguing perspective, but further scientific validation is needed for broader acceptance in clinical practice. The connection between art and medical imaging is fascinating, yet requires more exploration to establish its practical relevance and impact on patient outcomes.</p>

		<body>
			<p>Recentemente, temos explorado o movimento artístico Fauvismo, que floresceu no início do século XX e revolucionou a maneira como concebemos cor e expressão em arte, sendo mais expressivos e realistas ao trabalhar os tons cromáticos. Os &quot;fauves&quot; (&quot;bestas selvagens&quot; em português) Vincent van Gogh e Paul Gauguin deram origem a esse movimento, e Henri Matisse e André Derain, desafiaram convenções estabelecidas e ousaram utilizar cores intensas e não naturais para transmitir emoções e sensações vívidas. Durante uma exibição em Paris, o crítico de arte Louis Vauxcelles deu o título de &quot;fauves&quot; à essa tendência. Por isso, a pessoa que representa a agressividade que este estilo de trabalho imprime é chamado de &quot;Fauvista&quot;.<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B1">1</xref>,<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B2">2</xref></p>
			<p>Essa ousadia e liberdade na paleta de cores tem nos impressionado e despertou nossa curiosidade sobre como podemos aplicar essa abordagem não convencional em outras áreas, como a Medicina, especialmente beneficiando-se da técnica na aquisição de imagens ecocardiográficas. Hoje, a aplicação de opções de cores e filtros e o uso harmonioso de cores em diferentes modos como o modo M e o modo bidimensional, tem destacado nossos estudos no trabalho diário.</p>
			<p>Neste momento, gostaríamos de salientar uma conexão intrigante entre o Fauvismo e a aquisição de imagens cardíacas por diferentes métodos diagnósticos invasivos e não invasivos. Por exemplo, a ressonância magnética cardíaca e a tomografia computadorizada nos fornecem imagens detalhadas do coração e dos vasos sanguíneos, mas essas são frequentemente apresentadas em tons de cinza, branco ou preto,<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B3">3</xref> o que pode limitar nosso entendimento emocional da fisiologia cardíaca. Quanto à conexão com a medicina, gostaríamos de citar um estudo que explorou a aplicação da teria de cores fauvista na interpretação de imagens médicas, principalmente imagens cardíacas. Na publicação &quot;The ‘Wild Beasts’: Fauvism and Its Affinities&quot;, publicada pelo The Museum of Modern Art, o autor nos convida a considerar a possibilidade de que a incorporação dos princípios do Fauvismo na prática médica, particularmente na interpretação de imagens cardíacas, possa transformar a forma como médicos e pacientes interagem com o coração humano.<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="B1">1</xref></p>
			<p>Em vez de simplesmente olhar o coração como um órgão anatômico, conseguimos capturar a vitalidade e o dinamismo de seu funcionamento pelo uso de cores escuras e expressivas. Tons quentes puderam representar a atividade cardíaca saudável, enquanto tons frios puderam indicar áreas de preocupação ou doença. Essa abordagem pôde não só melhorar o entendimento pelos profissionais da saúde como também ajudar os pacientes a visualizarem e a compreenderem melhor sua saúde cardiovascular.</p>
			<p>Em resumo, o Fauvismo oferece uma abordagem excitante e não convencional que tem o potencial de transformar nossa percepção não só da arte, como também de outras áreas, como a medicina. Esperamos que nossa sugestão possa inspirar discussões e investigações de como integrar a criatividade artística à prática clínica. Gostaríamos de compartilhar algumas das minhas criações (imagens de minha autoria e editadas por mim) com vocês para demonstrar a beleza desse trabalho.</p>

				<title>Limitações</title>
				<p>Embora o artigo ofereça uma perspectiva intrigante, é necessária uma validação científica para uma aceitação mais ampla do proposto na prática clínica. A conexão entre arte e estudos de imagem na medicina é fascinante, e requer mais investigações para estabelecer sua importância prática e o impacto sobre desfechos dos pacientes.</p>
